Tonight as I had a minor choking fit on a tiny piece of cucumber and freaked out my husband, I realized how important it is for us to know CPR. I realized that we really don’t know much about what to do in emergency situations! As a personal trainer I am forced to keep my CPR up to date but what if that wasn’t the case? Do you know what to do in the case of an emergency? Do you know how to react? The more I think about it the more I realize that the best thing we can do for our families is to be prepared! Take the time...

Hi everyone…Summer is definitely here and I want to talk about what people like to do and go in the summer. Montreal is full of beautiful parks, streets and waterfront but where is it that we find our own little sanctuary in the city. I love the Old Port, finding different parks along the water and of course can’t beat Downtown… There are so many places and with having to work during the summer, any free time becomes even more valuable. You want to spend time with friends, family or even on your own. So where do you go?...

This morning I jumped out of bed and into the shower in such a panic! I had somehow fallen back asleep after my 4th alarm went off! Yes I know it sounds ridiculous but I have a backup to my alarm and then 2 others in case. For some reason this morning I thought it would be a great idea to get back in bed and cuddle up to my husband for a bit longer…. Great idea… until I feel back into a deep sleep with no 5th alarm backup!!! So in my panic, I got up, jumped in the shower and out the door! I somehow made it to work on-time...

This is definitely a heat wave!!!! Hot hot hot days and sticky nights. I love it but as I lie here in my 31℃ bedroom with my husband fixing the fan and filling our glasses of water with fresh ice, I can’t help but wonder how relationships last through extreme heat! If you can last a few days in extreme heat with no air conditioning that your relationship has definitely passed the test of all tests!! Jason and I do not have air conditioning in our home yet so we are living in a sauna. I actually don’t mind it at this point....

Tonight I went to a fabulous show with my mom to celebrate her 60th birthday! (She still looks 30!) I stole her away from my family after dinner so we could see a show… We went to see Mom’s The Word 2: Unhinged which is part of the Just for Laughs Festival this year. It was a fabulous show! A must must MUST see for everyone! We can all relate to this one of a kind show…mothers, daughters, sons, husbands and everything in-between! It was a realistic non-stop journey through the truths of motherhood, with all the...

My hubby Jason is a huge fan of Olive Oil! He uses it in all of his cooking and now I use it in so many more things as well! I was trying to find out what other things Olive Oil was good for and came accross this Dr.Oz video. One of the most important points he makes is that by having olive oil you are reducing your mortality rate by 50%! Wow pretty impressive! Check out the video and start using olive oil in your cooking…hair..and maybe even to shave?? ~Nadia ...

Helllloooo! It has been a few weeks not writing. I have been working some pretty crazy hours lately which means no time to write. Which also means no quality time with my husband! This is why last night we decided to go out for dinner at Portovino Ristorante in the West Island of Montreal. It is a bring your own wine restaurant, which Jason and I did. It was the first time in a while that we were able to just sit and enjoy dinner with no work distractions! Great wine, a nice dinner and fabulous company…my hubby! We had reached...

We have all been there, time to clean the stove top. We i have just tried, what I think, is the best tool to help you clean it! I used to scrub and scrub and I was never able to take off those burn circles around my burners. My Stove top just did not look clean. I decided to try something to help. I picked up a package of the Vileda Glass Ceramic Scrunge to see if it would work. The box claimed that it would remove all stains without scratching my ceramic stove top. You know what, it worked, and worked really well. Burn marks I had for...

We all have our own comfort food and for me a nice grill cheese brings back a lot of good memories and is always easy to make. This recipe will add a twist on the regular grill cheese sandwich we are used to having or making. I use four different cheeses in this recipe and I hope you get a chance to try it! Four Cheese Grill Cheese Recipe:Two slices of breadParmesan CheeseMelted Butter 1 Slice Mozzarella Cheese 1 Slice Swiss Cheese1 Slice Thin Processed Cheese (Kraft Singles) Directions:Brush butter on one side of each bread and sprinkle...

You ever wake up, it’s raining out and you say “ah, it’s raining, the day is shot!”? Well for me a rainy day come with mixed blessings. On one hand, yes you can’t do much outdoors BUT on the other hand you have the chance to either clean up inside the house or just relax. So many things that can be done around the house, vacuum, dishes, garbage’s, or watching a movie, email that friend you miss, sit and read a book, well you get the point. One thing that a lot of us forget is that each day of our lives...
