At 38 weeks pregnant, I await the arrival of baby #3. My hospital bag is sitting at the door. As per the doctor, around 34 weeks is a good time to get your bag ready and at the door. You never know when you’ll go into labor…unless you’ve been booked for a c-section.
Here is my complete list of must-have’s for your hospital or birthing centre stay.
And don’t forget to bring your birth plan to the hospital as well as hospital and insurance cards.
FOR MOM:
- Socks (that can get ruined)
- PJ or comfy outfit for hospital/birthing/breastfeeding
- Warm robe or sweater for the cold hospital
- Maternity Bra and nursing pads
- Underwear (granny panties)
- Lip Balm
- Toiletries (Toothbrush/toothpaste, deodorant, hairbrush)
- Headband & hair elastics
- Sugar-free hard candy to keep mouth moist
- Cash for the vending machines and parking
- Cell phone/charger
- Camera, memory card, battery/charger
- Flip Flops for shower and to walk around the hospital
- Sanitary Pads (Ex: Incognito MaxiMom)
- Makeup (Freshen up to take some first pics with baby)
- Smartphone app or watch to time contractions

- Approved & Installed Car Seat
